A team of construction machinery enthusiasts
After many years working abroad as a workshop foreman for construction machinery, master car mechanic Weiss Franz decided in 1995 to start a business selling spare and wear parts for construction machinery!
At the beginning, the small spare parts warehouse and office were set up in the private house.
Untiring commitment to customers, rapid and reliable processing of enquiries and orders and customer-oriented service were the most important priorities.
A regular customer base at home and abroad was soon formed and steadily expanded, so that a larger warehouse was rented in Köflach in 1996.
In 2002, the sole proprietorship “Weiss Franz” was incorporated into “Weiss Franz Handels GmbH”.
After a further warehouse expansion in Voitsberg, the company's own warehouse and office building were built in 2005 at the current location in Söding-St. Johann (with the motorway connection to the A2), in which "Weiss Franz Handels GmbH" has now been operating for almost 20 years.
At the beginning of self-employment, it quickly became clear that there was a great need or demand, especially for “replica rubber tracks”.

Through extensive technical understanding and knowledge, numerous special training courses, including in the field of rubber mixing and vulcanization, as well as the urge for further development (quality of steel cables as well as crossbeams and rubber chain technology), Mr. Weiss Franz has managed to develop a high-quality premium product with the "WBE" rubber chain and has successfully established it on the market since 2008.
This technical know-how was also used to design a special rubber compound and the necessary steel core for the replica rubber shoes (rubber pads), which has significantly improved the service life.
At the same time, a lot of effort was invested in the development of replica drive components as well as bushings and bolts - especially in the areas of quality and dimensional accuracy!
All of this was only possible with the support - primarily from his wife Doris - and the entire team at Weiss Franz Handels GmbH. As the storage capacity and product range have been steadily expanded, the number of (long-standing) employees has also grown.
After around 60 (!) years of professional experience, Mr. Weiss Franz decided in 2019 to transfer his shares in “Weiss Franz Handels GmbH” to Peter Puntigam (owner and managing director of Baumaschinen Puntigam GmbH), thus handing over responsibility for the successful company to younger hands.
